Most banks are open 9.30-4.30pm Mon-Fri (selective branches only on Sat mornings) and you can get cash from cashpoint machines throughout the city 24 hours a day. Cashpoints are situated throughout the city especially near shopping centres.

   

Markets in Cork.

If you like browsing round markets like I do then you'll be in heaven in Cork – there are open-air and closed markets galore! The open-air market on Coal Quay (Cornmarket Street) is best visited in the morning when you can browse among the fruit and veg., the clothes, books and bric-a-brac stalls while soaking in the atmosphere and listening to the wonderful lilting Corkonian dialect. The local Cork delicacies of tripe and drisheen can still be found at the markets.

Money in the North.
